Statistics Resources

StatLab at Yale

The StatLab at Yale offers statistical consultation services to members of the Yale community. Consultants work in a question-and-answer mode to help people with particular questions that come up in their research or classroom activities using statistical software and statistical methodologies. In addition, the StatLab at Yale offers workshops on the major statistical packages throughout the year.

Sara Burke’s Statistics Site

Intergroup Relations Lab member Sara Burke maintains a statistics site with helpful examples, explanations, and teaching materials. Resources include an Introduction to R workshop, notation conventions for regression slopes, and illustrations of skewed distributions.

Quick-R

R is an elegant and comprehensive statistical and graphical programming language. Unfortunately, it can also have a steep learning curve. Quick-R is a website for both current R users, and experienced users of other statistical packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata) who would like to transition to R.

PROCESS Macro

Written by Andrew F. Hayes, Ph.D., PROCESS is an easy to use add-on for SPSS and SAS for statistical mediation, moderation, and conditional process analysis. PROCESS uses an ordinary least squares or logistic regression-based path analytic framework, and can estimate moderated mediation models with multiple mediators, multiple moderators of individual paths, interactive effects of moderators on individual paths, and models with dichotomous outcomes.
